As I've been talking to many Palo Alto customers and partners over the years, it sort of dawned on me that there is no real independent forum that is both easily accessible and not filled with marketing content. I wanted to create such a space where peers can socialize and most importantly reach out and help each other tackle tricky issues.
All beginnings are hard so please, if you want to help make this a great resource for all admins of all levels on the learning curve, feel free to create an account and post questions in the forum. I'll do my best to help out and get the ball rolling.
Reaper out
Hi Nanashin, thank you for asking. While conceptualizing this webpage I needed to imagine a URL that would be easy to remember, signify what we are trying to do here and not be too serious. I chose PAN (for Palo Alto Networks) gurus (teacher, guide, expert, or master) because it met all criteria, and allowed me to use a symbolic animal as a logo, the kangaroo who carries their child in a protective pouch until it is ready to face the world on its own
This is a very insignificant question.
I think it is safe to assume that "PANGURUS" is named in parody of kangaroo (Gugu-Yimidhirr says Gangurru), meaning PAN experts (PAN GURUS), right?
